Zhao Mengfu Chinese Painting Print – Chibi Fu Red Cliffs

If Zhao Mengfu is new to you, this Chibi Fu Red Cliffs print is a fine place to start — exactly what this kind of Chinese calligraphy wall art should be. The listing covers the huaxin print alone — the reproduced core, without frame, scroll, or backing.

The composition brings together calligraphy, handscroll, with Chibi Fu completing the scene, a strong unmounted Chinese painting print by any measure. There’s also Red Cliffs and rhapsody worked into the scene. The inscription carries the painter’s voice as surely as the image carries the hand — a classical Chinese wall art with real substance. This is a format for looking the way you read — progressively, patiently. The portrait holds its sitter with the directness of the old studio manner. Zhao Mengfu’s synthesis of Tang and Song models became the Yuan definition of classical.

Hang it where you drink your morning tea; it suits slow hours, the kind of Chinese art print for framing worth framing well. For the minimalist: one image, one frame, done.
